Harmony and peace are forgotten words
We are facing a variety of complex issues – inflation, political trauma, and world happenings are eating away at our peace of mind.
One of our friends has a child going through severe pain and sickness. Worry is pounding into their thoughts and hearts. But God’s peace is resident. They have peace because they are trusting God and His word.
Peace is not a result of our surroundings or circumstances. It is a fruit of God’s Spirit. Peace is more than tranquility; it is an impenetrable guard over our heart, mind, and body. When life makes no sense and offers no hope we fall back on God’s peace.
God’s peace transcends every circumstance. There is a peace that passes our understanding (Philippians 4:7, NKJ).
The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:7, NKJV)
“Dear brothers and sisters, I close my letter with these last words: Be joyful. Grow to maturity. Encourage each other. Live in harmony and peace. Then the God of love and peace will be with you.” (2 Corinthians 13:11, NLT)
In the above verse, notice the word “then.” “Then” is a word denoting what follows an event. The word says, be joyful, grow to maturity, encourage others, and “then” love and peace will be with you. Let’s take it deeper.
