The God of the Bible has a unique plan for each of us.

For I know, the plans I have for you says the Lord, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans for a hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11, NKJV)

Leonard Sweet rightly said, “The future is not something we enter, and it is something we create.” This never means everything will be easy, it does mean there is a purpose in every circumstance.

God wants us to factor Him into every decision of our future. God’s word provides the blueprint for purpose, and His Spirit gives us direction for the future. We cannot focus on the future by constantly looking back.

The apostle Paul said, “one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind.”

Letting go of the past is the key to focus on the future.
